IB Security Assistant Previous Year Paper

Eligibility criteria

Educational Qualification:

(i) Candidate must have Matriculation (10th class pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board of Education, and
(ii) Knowledge of any one of the local language/dialect against each SIB/ centre of examination: They should be able to read, write and speak in that  language/dialect 

Age Limit (10 Nov 2018)

Not exceeding 27 years

Age Relaxations as per the Ministry of Home Affairs rules.

Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2000 (PB-1) plus admissible Central Govt. allowances.

Marks and Exam Pattern

Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern for IB Recruitment

You will have to go through 3 stages of the exam.

The 3 stages of Exam will be as follows:

  1. Written Exam of objective type MCQs-Tier-I
  2. Descriptive paper and language test-Tier-II
  3. Interview-Tier-III

Tier I- Written Exam of objective type

The Tier I Stage will be a written exam of 2 hours. This exam will have four different sections consisting of 100 marks.

  • A total of 100 questions will be asked in this exam.
  • This is an Objective Test.
  • There will be negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer. 
  • A candidate is allowed to appear for Tier II only after qualifying Tier I.
  • There would be cut-off marks (out of 100) in Tier-I exam as under: UR-35, OBC-34 & SC/ST-33 (all Ex-servicemen would be treated in their own category viz., UR/OBC/SC/ST).

Note - On the basis of their performance in Tier-I exam, candidates would be shortlisted for Tier-II & Tier-III exam at 10 times the number of vacancies.

 

Tier II

Tier-II examination will be of qualifying nature.

  • The Mains Exam will be of 50 marks.
  • This is a Written Descriptive Paper.
