Indian Captain Virat Kohli has been named as the 'Leading Cricket of the Year' for the third successive time by the 2019 edition of Wisden Cricketers' Almanack.

The 30-year-old amassed 2,735 runs in 47 international innings at an average of 68.37 in 2018, including 11 hundred and 9 fifties.

President Ram Nath Kovind launched 'CRPF Veer Parivar' app, a mobile application for families of CRPF personnel killed in the line duty.

The app was launched after the President paid his tributes to the fallen troops at the National Police Memorial in Delhi on the occasion of the CRPF's 'Valour Day'.

The application will act as an interface between the Central Reserve Police (CRPF) authorities and the next of kin of the slain personnel.

It will render all assistance to the families of the martyred CRPF personnel with regard to issuance of ex gratia, pensionary benefits and all information regarding the welfare schemes introduced for them by the government.
