Indian Bank has signed a corporate agency agreement with Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company Ltd (Chola MS) for distribution of its products to bank customers.

KVIC launches "Leather Mission" on World Tribal Day

The Khadi and Village Industry Commission has launched "Leather Mission" on World Tribal Day.

Under this mission, the commission will give leather kits to the leather artisans across the nation.

KVIC distributed 50 leather kits and 350 bee-boxes in Rajasthan's Sirohi district. This will increase their incomes and inspire the traditional leather artisans who had migrated to otther jobs from their traditional skill to adopt this vocation again.

India & Bangladesh to set up Joint Technical committee for optimum utilization of Ganges water

India and Bangladesh have agreed to set up a Joint Technical committee for optimum use of Ganges water.

The river Ganga's water is being received by Bangladesh under the Ganga Water Sharing Treaty 1996.

The Indian delegation was led by Water Resources Secretary Upendra Prasad Singh while the Bangladesh side was led by his counterpart Kabir Bin Anwar.

Both the countries agreed to prepare a framework for interim water-sharing agreement for 8 rivers including Feni, Gumti and Teesta.

Rajasthan becomes the 1st state to release Bio-Fuel Policy

The Rajasthan govenment has released biofuel rules-2019 on the eve of the World Biofuel Day withiofuels. the vision to promote the use of biofuels.

Rajasthan has become the first state in the country that released biofuel rules-2019.

Promotion of biofuel will reduce the need of fossil fuel in the interest of enviornment, and also generate employment opportunities.

Skipper Virat Kohli became the second-highest run-getter for India in ODIs.

Kohli, who achieved the feat during second ODI against West INdies.

Kohli has also became the highest run scorer against West Indies in the ODIs.

Kohli broke the record of former capitan Sourav Ganguly who scored 11,363 runs in 311 ODIs. He has surpassed Ganguly and now has 11,406 runs uder his name.

Kohli is only behind the legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar who has 18,426 runs in the ODI cricket by any batsman in the world.
