Dharmendra Pradhan launch mission PURVODAYA in steel sector in West Bengal

 

Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas & Steel (MoPNG&S) Shri Dharmendra Pradhan launched mission PURVODAYA for the development of eastern India thought integrated steel hub in Kolkata, West Bengal.

The government aims to transform logistics and utility infrastructure which would change the socio-economic landscape in eastern India, Under this mission.

India has come up with Rs 102. lakh crore worth National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP).

 

India's first Cyber Crime Prevention unit launched in Gujarat

 

Union Home Minister (HM) Amit Shah launched the first Cyber Crime Prevention Unit of India "AASHVAST" in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

He also launched 2 other projects VISHWAS (Video Integration and State Wide Advanced Security) & Nerang.

AASHVAST (Assured Assistance Service Helpline for Victims at Shortest Time) project will act as a helpline for the cybercrime victims.

 

Kolkata Port Trust renamed as Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Port

 

The Kolkata Port has been renamed as Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Port.

The event was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He announced this in Kolkata on the occasion of 150th-year celebration of Kolkata Port Trust.

He dedicated a commemorative Stamp on 150 years of Kolkata Port Trust in India

 

National Youth Festival 2020 to be held in Lucknow

 

The 23rd National Youth Festival (NYF) 2020 has been scheduled to be held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

The festival is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The theme of the National Youth Festival 2020 is "FIT YOUTH FIT INDIA".

The NYF 2020 is organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and State Government of Uttar Pradesh.

 

 

Indian Bowler Jasprit Bumrah receives BCCI's Polly Umrigar award

 

Indian pacer Jasprit Jasbirsingh Bumrah has received the BCCI's prestigious Polly Umrigar Award for his super performance in international cricket in the 2018-19 season.

Former India captains Krishnamachsri Srikkanth and Anjum Chopra were awarded the Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award and the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award for women respectively.

 

Pulses Conclave 2020 to be held in Maharashtra

 

The 5th edition of biennial global pulses conference, 'The Pulses Conclave 2020, will be held from 12th February 2020 to 14th February 2020 in Lonavala, Maharashtra.

The conclave is being organized by India Pulses and Grains Association (IPGA).

IPGA is the apex body of India's pulses and grains industry and trade based in Mumbai.

 

Tsai Ing-Wen won Taiwan Presidential Election for the second time

 

Tsai Ing-Wen was won the Taiwan Presidential Election for the second time.

Tsai Ing-Wen's Democratic Progressive Party retained control of the legislature, according to final results.
