Russia conferred Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Order of St Andrew the Apostle - the highest state decoration of Russia, for exceptional services in promoting bilateral ties.

Narendra Modi was awarded with this award for his exceptional services to enhance privileged strategic partnership between Russia and India.

This is the 7th international award and highest civilian honor of the Russian Federation which was established by Czar Peter I of Russia in the 17th century.
