The Reserve Bank of India issued the final framework for regulatory sandbox (RS) for the startups, banks and financial institutions.
The Fintech companies can now set up their own RS for live testing of innovative products in areas like retail payments, digital KYC and wealth management.
The framework aims to enable innovations in the financial technology space. It will also foster resposible innovation in financial services, promote efficiency and bring benefit to consumers.

Public Sector Bank, Bank of Baroda (BoB) has linked its home loan product to Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) repo rate after State Bank of India (SBI).
BoB customers opting for the home loan product would have a choice between MCLR-linked rate-indexed to the bank's cost of funds or a rate linked to RBI's repo rate.
with this, home loans at BoB will be available at repo rate linked interest rate starting at 8.35%, thus passing on the further benefit of 10 basis points to the present MCLR (Marginal Cost of Funds based lending Rate) rated pricing.
Presently, the MCLR (Marginal Cost of Funds based lending Rate) linked home loan product is available starting at 8.45%, which had come into effect on 7th August 2019 after the MCLR was reduced by 15 basis points.

Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Indian Railways has launched Operation "Number Plate" a Special Drive to curb unidentified vehicles.
The operation was launched under the direction of DG/RPF, Arun Kumar.
Under Operation "Number Plate" the force will identify and verify all vehicles parked in Railway premises, circulating area, parkings and even in the 'No Parking' areas for longer duration.
Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has launched the Swachh Survekshan 2020.
It is the fifth edition of the annual cleanliness survey.
The scheme was launched by Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, the Minister of HOusing & Urban Affairs.
The government has launched Swachh Survekshan League 2020 with the objective of sustaining the on-ground performance of cities along with continuous monitoring of service level performance on cleanliness.
Justice Madan B Lokur sworn in as Judge of the supreme court of Fiji
Former Supreme Court Judge Justice Madan B Lokur was sworn in as the judge of the non-resident panel of the Supreme Court of Fiji.
This is the first time an Indian judge is getting appointed as the judge of the apex court of another country.
The oath was administered by the Fiji President Jioji Komrote.
Justice LOkur, who demitted office as a Supreme Court justice on 31, 2018, has been appointed in the new role for a period of three years.

Aishwarya Pissay becomes first Indian to claim a world title in motorsports
Aishwarya Pissay has become the first Indian to claim a world title in motorports in the women's category in the FIM World Cup 2019 held at Varpalota in Hungary.
The 23-year old from Bengaluru also finished second in the FIM Junior category. She won the first round in DUbai and was placed third in Portugal, fifth in Spain and fourth in Hungary in the sbsequent outigs, finished with a tally of 65 points, just four ahead of Portugal's Rita Vieira in the final overall standings for women.
Priyam Chatterjee becomes first Indian chef to be awarded the "Chevalier de I" Ordre du Merite Agricoleto" by the govt of france
The government of France conferred the Indian Chef Priyam Chatterjee with 'Chevalier de I'Ordre du Mrite Agricoleto' (Order of Agricultural Merit) in New Delhi.
With this distinction, Chatterjee becomes the 1st Indian from Kolkata (West Bengal) to be awarded the this honour, in recognition of his great contribution towards reiventing the gastronomic scene in India.

IIT-Delhi students design the world's first self-standing crutch
The alumni from the IIT-Delhi have created the world's first automotive crutches which have the capacity to stand on their own.
The product has been developed by a startup called Flexmotiv, started by IIT Delhi students Arvind S.A, Adepu Srinivas and Girish Yadav, with assistance from AIIMS Delhi.
The device is designed in a way that it improves the surface adaptability thus reducing the jarring forces from 5 to 10 percent while walking and improves the user performance by 10 to 20 percent.
