K. Natarajan has been appointed as the Director-General of the Indian Coast Guard (ICG).
He has become the 23rd chief of India's coastal security force.
He replaced Rajendra Singh who was the first Director-General to be appointed from within the force.
Government of India 'One Nation One Ration Card' scheme will be available across the country form 1 July 2020,
The scheme will allow portability of food security benefits, under which beneficiaries can by subsidize food grains from any ration shop in the country as long as their ration cards are linked to Aadhaar.
This scheme will ensure that no poor person is deprived of subsidized grains.
The GoI, the Government of Kerala and the Word Bank have signed the loan agreement of USD 250 million for the First Resilient Kerala Program.

The Government of India has signed a deal with Russia for buying anti-tank missiles for its Mi-35 attack helicopters to prepare itself for emergency situations.
The deal is worth around Rs 200 crore.
The deal has been signed by the Air Force under the emergency provisions in which the equipment has to be bought and ready for deployment in three months.
