 National Payments Corporation of India launches ‘UPI Chalega’ campaign

 

National Payments Corporation of India(NPCI) has launched ‘UPI Chalega’ campaign.

The ‘UPI Chalega’ campaign is aimed to guide users towards the right usage of UPI(Unified Payments Interface) and help to create a habitual change, use of UPI in their daily life.

 

Indian Railways launched HRMS Mobile app for its employees

 

Railway Board Chairman, Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, has  launched HRMS (Human Resource Management System) Mobile app, in order to bring transparency in the administrative functioning of the Indian Railways.

The app was designed and developed by CRIS (Centre for Railway Information System).

The app will enable the employees to see data related to their service as well as communicate with administration for any changes, if required.

 

RBI appointed Sunil Gurbaxani as Dhanlaxmi Bank MD & CEO

 

Reserve Bank of India has appointed Sunil Gurbaxani as MD and CEO of Dhanlaxmi Bank. 

Sunil Gurbaxani will be appointed for a period of three years from the date of taking charge.

Sunil was the successor of T.Latha.

Currently Sunil is working with Axis Bank.

 

“RailMadad” gets National e-Governance Awards

 

RaidMadad, the grievance redressal portal of Indian Railways, has been awarded Silver award under Category-II of National e-Governance Awards– “Excellence in providing Citizen-centric delivery”.

The was conferred during the 3rd Conference on e-Governance which was held at Mumbai.

 

PV Sindhu & Saurabh Chaudhary ESPN Sportsperson of the year 2019 Award

 

World Champion shuttler P V Sindhu has won the ESPN’s Female Sportsperson of the Year award for a third consecutive time.

Young shooter Saurabh Chaudhary bagged the honour in the male category.

Dutee Chand was named as the first winner of the ESPN India courage award.

Entertainment and Sports Programming Network (ESPN) Multi-Sport Awards recognized achievements across 10 categories.

SBI Card has partnered with Landmark group (one of the largest retail and hospitality organizations), to launch co-branded credit card.

The three newly launched co-branded credit card namely Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card, Max SBI Card and Spar SBI Card —with 4 Landmark Group brands – Lifestyle, Home Centre, Max and Spar .

 

CSIR Delhi, tops in Nature Ranking Index 2020

 

Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has ranked first in the Nature Ranking Index 2020.

All institutes are ranked based on total research output which the institutions have carried out from 1 December 2018 to 30 November 2019.

The ranking is based on the Nature Index, a database complied by science journal Nature Research.

Top 5 institute in the index

  1. Council of Scientific and Industrial Research
  2. Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore,
  3. Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR-Mumbai)
  4. Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI)

Ahmedabad to host Chitra Bharati Film Festival

 

The 3rd edition of the Chitra Bharati Film Festival (CBFF) began at Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

The three-day festival was inaugurated by the Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Bollywood filmmaker Subhash Ghai.

The objective of the Chitra Bharati Film Festival is of establishing a ‘Bharatiya’ narrative in Indian cinema.

 

India ranked 77th on Sustainability Index

 

India secured 77th rank in the Sustainability Index 2020 and 131st on the Flourishing Index 2020, according to the report commissioned by the World Health Organization (WHO), UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the Lancet.

Atal Kisan – Majdoor canteens to be openend by Haryana Goverment

 

The Government of Haryana to open Atal Kisan – Majdoor canteens.

These canteens aims to provide meals affordable and cheap meals to farmers and labourers at a concessional rate of RS 10 per plate in all mandis and sugar mills.
