State Bank of India signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the third largest Bank in the world by capital size, Bank of China (BoC) to boost business opportunities.

Through this pact, both banks will gain direct access to their respective markets of operation. Both banks' clients will be able to use the vast combined network to expand their business abroad.

India's largest lender SBI has a branch in Shanghai and Bank of China is planning to open its branch in  Mumbai.

The Election Commission of India has appointed a transgender activist Gauri Sawant as first transgender election Ambassador, as one of the 12 election ambassadors from Maharastra.

North Mumbai constituency has registered the maximum number of 324 transgender.

As per the Election Commission, Gauri Sawant's appointment would help in more people from this category getting registered during the final phase of voters enrollment.

Former Super Judge Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose has been appointed as India's first Lokpal or anti-corruption ombudsman of India.

Justice Ghose retired as Supreme Court Judge in May 2017 after a tenure of four years. He is a member of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) since June 29,2017.

His appointment was recommended Prime Minister Narendra Modi led-selection committee and cleared by President Ram Nath Kovind.

Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar, (IIPHG) in collaboration with the National Mental Health Program, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Gujarat has developed a mobile application called as 'Conquer Exam, Be a Warrior' for students to reduce the exam pressure.

This application creates awareness as well as help students to analyze their weak points and overcome from the exam pressure by providing assistance.

Bollywood Actor Amir Khan appointed as Brand Ambassador of PhonePe, India's fastest growing payments platform.

PhonePe is also an official co-presenting sponsor of VIVO IPL 2019. It is planning to launch a series of new advertisements with a mass appeal by its ambassador on the benefits of digital payments.
