Indian-American Rajesh Subramaniam Appointed as CEO of FedEx Express

 

Indian-American Rajesh Subramaniam has been named as the president and chief executive officer of Us multinational courier delivery giant FedEx Express.

He will replace the David L Cunningham.

Subramaniam is currently executive vice president and Chief Marketing and Communication Officer of FedEx Corporation.

He will assume his new role on January 1, 2019.

Maharastra Govt launched Vajpayee International Schools For Rural Students

 

• Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has launched the ‘Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Schools’ for students in rural areas on the occasion of 94th birth anniversary of late Prime Minister.

All Zilla Parishad (ZP) schools will be part of the international board and it would be expanded in the coming years.

Maharastra International School will be called ‘Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Schools’

• Madhya Pradesh’s Divya Patidar Joshi crowned Mrs. India 2018 title at the Mrs. India My Identity Beauty Pageant 2018 finale in New Delhi on December 26, 2018.

The Mrs. India My Identity Beauty Pageant 2018 finale was held in New Delhi.

She won the crown of Mrs. India this year from among 24 promising contestants and won all the rounds of Beauty with Brain contest along with Best Cat Walk title.

Now in the year 2019, she would be representing India for Mrs. Universe title.

RBI launched Survey to capture retail payment habits.

 

RBI has launched Survey to capture retail payment habits of Individuals (SRPHi)’ in six cities including four metropolitan cities on December 26, 2018

• The survey will cover a sample of 6,000 individuals from various socio-economic backgrounds across six cities of -- Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Guwahati.

• The survey would capture the payment habits of individuals and this will provide some idea about awareness and usage habits of digital payment products.

• The fieldwork for the survey was conducted by Sigma Research & Consulting Pvt Ltd.
