India's Saurabh Chaudhary has won a gold medal in 10m Air Pistol beating his own World Record in ISSF shooting World Cup, in Munich Germany.

The 17-year old Chaudhary shot a score of 246.3 battering his previous best of 245 points that was set in New Delhi in February.

This is India's second Gold In the championship.

Indian squash player Mahesh Mangaonkar won for the second time Sekisui Open in Kriens, Switerzland.

Three years back he had won it the first time.

This was Mahesh's 8th PSA (Professional Squash Association) title.

Mahesh had defeated Bernat Jaume of Spain by 11-9, 3-11, 11-5, 11-5.

Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Professor Balram Bhargava was honoured with the 2019 Dr. Lee Jong-wook Memorial Prize for Public Health at the 72nd World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland.

The event was organized by the World Health Organization (WHO).

He bagged the award for his achievements as a clinician, innovator, researcher, and trainer.

Lewis Hamilton won Monaco Grand Prix to extend his championship lead over Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas.

This was his sixth straight win in the year 2019.

He beat Red Bull Racing-Honda, Max Verstappen who dropped from second on the road to fourth in the results because of a five-second penalty.

Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel in second place while Mercedes Valtteri Bottas completed the Monaco Grand Prix in third place. 

China won the badminton world mixed-team championship, Sudirman Cup 2019 in Nanning, China.

China beats Japan in men's doubles, women's singles and men's singles.

The year 2019 was the 16th edition of the Sudirman Cup Title.

The 16th edition was hosted by China and it swept the finals with 3-0 victory against Japan. with this win China 11th Sudirman Cup title.

Japan have never won the Sudirman Cup.

Cyril Ramaphosa's party, African National Congress (ANC) won South African elections with a majority and secured 57.51% votes and Cyril Ramaphosa was sworn in for a five-year term as South Africa's President.

Cyril Ramaphosa elected as South African President after President Jacob Zuma resigned the post due to charges of corruption.

Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven announced that Sweden will host an International Conference against Anti-Semitism in memory of the Holocaust in October 2020.

It will be held in Malmo, Southern Sweden, on October 27 and 28, 20 years after the Declaration of the Stockholm International Forum on the Holocaust and 75 years after the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp.

Facebook plans to launch its own cryptocurrency 'GlobalCoin' in 2020.

'GlobalCoin' will be available in around a dozen countries at launch where it's expected to offer people affordable and secure payments without the need for a bank account.

The currency, dubbed GlobalCoins, would enable Facebook's 2.4 billion monthly users to change dollars and other international currencies into its digital coins. The coins could then be used to buy things on the internet and in shops and other outlets.
