Manoj Kumar, managing director of Arohan Financial Services has been elected as new Chairman of MicroFinance Institutions Network (MFIN).
He was elected at the 10th Annual General Meeting of MFIN in New Delhi.
He will replace Ujjivan Financial Services CEO and MD Samit Ghosh.
MFIN is an industry association comprising 56 NBFC-MFIs (Non-Banking Financial Company-Micro Finance Institutions) and 40 associates including banks, small finance banks, and NBFCs.

Maharastra achieved first rank in NITI Aayog launched "Agricultural Marketing and Famer Friendly Reforms Index (AMFFRI).
Gujarat ranked second with a score of 71.50 out of 100, closely followed by Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
The index ranks states based on the degree of reforms they have undertaken in agricultural marketing. MFFRI has a score that can have minimum value "0" implying no reforms and maximum value "100" implying complete reforms in the selected areas.

Unique Identification Authority of India has opened its first 'Aadhaar Seva Kendra' in Delhi and Vijayawada.
The UIDAI has an ambitious plan to set up 114 such centres by the end of 2019.
These centres will provide the facility to apply for a new Aadhaar card or update the existing one and other activities.
The Aadhaar Seva Kendras were announced by the UIDAI CEO Ajay Bhushan Pandey in October 2018.
