The bank will offer the plan through its extensive network of banking points across the country.

Bharti AXA Life POS (Point of Sale) Saral Jeevan Bima Yojana is a pure life term insurance plan which is aimed at the under-insured and un-insured segments in India.

Punjab & Sind Bank set up centralized hub 'Cen-MARG' to process retail and MSME loans

 

Punjab & Sind Bank has set up a centralized hub named "Centralised MSME & Retail Group" (Cen-MARG).

The bank is aiming to bring much-enhanced customer satisfaction through this initiative.

It will process retail and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) loans for better efficiency of branches in business acquisition.

The Cen-MARG has been envisioned to ensure qualitative improvement in credit appraisal, improved turnaround time, uniform documentation, and efficient monitoring.

Ola gets green light for London taxi business

 

India's Cabs has received approval from London's transport regulator to start private hire vehicles (PHV) in the capital city of the UK.

Ola will be the first-ever platform to offer both PHVs and black cabs in the UK.

Ola Cabs is India's biggest ride-hailing platform, which is run by ANI Technologies Pvt.Ltd.

Reliance Jio ties up with Facebook for 'Digital Udaan'

 

Reliance Jio has tied up with Facebook for digital literacy initiative 'Digital Udaan'. It is a programme for inclusive information, education, and entertainment.

The 'Digital Udaan' initiative will have audio-visual training in 10 regional languages.

The programme is being launched in nearly 200 different locations across 13 states.

SCR commissioned Longest electrified railway tunnel in India

 

South Central Railway (SCR) has commissioned the longest electrified tunnel in India Railways and it is one of 18 Indian Railway Zone.

The electrified tunnel measuring 6.6 kilometres is situated between Cherlopalli and Rapuru stations which fall under the South Central Railways zone of Indian Railways.

It is built at a total cost of Rs 460 crore.

 

Ajay Banga, Azim Premji to receive excellence awards from USISPF

 

The US-India Strategic Partnership Forum has selected Mastercard CEO & President Ajay Banga and Wipro Chairman Azim Premji for its 2019 Global Excellence Awards.

The two business leaders will receive the awards at USISPF's Second Annual Leadership Summit in Washington on July 11.

They have been honoured with the awards for their significant contribution to strengthening economic ties between the US and India.

 

NASSCOM & NSDC launches 'World Skills India' International Cloud Computing Challenge 2019

 

IT industry's apex body Nasscom partnered with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to organise 'World Skills India's International Cloud Computing 2019'.

Ten countries including India are participating in the competition, along with New Zealand, Belgium, Japan, China, South Korea, Russia, Oman, and Ireland.

"WorldSkills India" is an  NSDC initiative launched in 2011 to provide a platform to the youth, along with industries and educators to compete, experience, learn and develop key professional skill sets required for industry 4.0.
