CS Rajan appointed as MD of IL&FS

 

CS Rajan has been appointed Managing Director of Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS).

Vineet Nayyar has also named as Executive Vice Chairman of Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS).

Rest of the new board comprises of Bijay Kumar as the deputy managing director and GC Chaturvedi, Nand Kishor, Malini Shankar, and N Srinivasan as non-executive directors.

Sana Dua designated as Brand Ambassador for elections in J&K

 

The former Miss India runner up Sana Dua has been appointed as the brand ambassador for the Lok Sabha election in Jammu and Kashmir.

The first runner-up of Femina Miss India 2017 contest, she had also participated in Miss United Continents 2017.

She has also engaged in promoting girl child education and "Save Water" campaign in the state.

She was born in 1993 in Assam in a Sikh family.

Karnataka Bank signs MoU with Bharti AXA Life Insurance Company

 

Karnataka Bank has signed a pact with Bharti Axa Life Insurance Company Ltd to distribute the latter's life insurance products.

The bank will be able to facilitate wide choices of Life insurance product to its customers across all its 836 branches of bank supported by the customer-centric products of the insurance company.

India signs MoU with NABCONS

 

India has signed an MoU with the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development Consultancy Service (NABCONS) for setting up the India-Africa Institute of Agriculture and Rural Development (IAIARD) in Malawi.

The agreement aims to enhance capacity in the areas of agro-financing and entrepreneurship development for African countries.

This institute will be the first of its kind developed in an African country by India.

This agreement will strengthen the bilateral relations between Malawi and India with the African Union.

FIFA Ranking: Belgium stay on top spot, India ranks at 101

 

Belgium has secured top position in the latest FIFA (The Federation International de Football Association) world Food ranking.

Meanwhile, Indian Football team gained two places to rank at 101. With 1219 total ranking points, the Indian team lies 18th among the Asian countries while Iran has topped it.

Belgium has been followed by France, Brazil, England and Croatia at 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th spot respectively.
