Kejriwal launched a housing scheme for the residence of JJ Clusters

New Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday launched the 'Mukhyamantri Awas Yojna' for the residents of Jhuggi Jhopri (JJ) clusters and said the AAP government would provide a pucca house to every citizen of Delhi.

According to the chief minister, 65,000 families residing in slum areas were distributed ownership certificates on Tuesday and they would soon be provided pucca house. Speaking at the event, Kejriwal said in the last 70 years no government has worked for the people of JJ clusters and these certificates would ensure that these slums would not be demolished.

India to set a strict restriction on non-essential imports from china by march 2020    

India is set to finalize stricter quality standards for 371 items by march, a move primarily aimed at curbing imports of non-essential items such as toys, plastic goods, sports items, and furniture, especially from China.

The proposed rules to be framed by ministers in coordination with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), will also ensure stricter inspection of imports.

The rules are to be framed by the ministry in coordination with BIS (Bureau of Indian Standers). Though the rules focus on Chinese imports, it will also be applicable to Indian producers in order to make the regulations WTO-compliant. Currently, there are 370 standards for imports, India's plan is to increase it to 5000 in the second phase. The move will help boost the local industries and help Indian consumers get quality products.

107th Indian Science Congress will be held at University of Agriculture Science, GKVK Campus, Bangalore

The 107th Indian Science Congress (ISC) was inaugurated by Prime Narendra Modi on January 3, 2019, at the University of Agriculture Science in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The five-day summit is expected to witness participation from several policymakers, scientists, academians, inventors and politicians from across the world. Two Novel prize winners, Stefan Hell and Ada Yonath are also expected to attend the congress and conduct lectures.

The children Science Congress also called the "Rashtriya Kishore Vaiguanik Sammelana" will also be held alongside the 107th Indian Science Congress. The aim of the congress is to motivate students and increase their participation in the scientific and technological field. Apart from these, women's science, the congress will also be held showcasing women's achievements. Also, the VC Science congress will be held to address the need for higher education institutions. The event will also hold Science Communicators Meet.

Pm Modi gave the motto of "innovate, Patent, Produce and Prosper" to the young scientists in the country, saying that these four steps will lead India towards faster development. He stated that "innovation for the people and by the people in the direction of new India."

Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY)

Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) under the national health authority (NHA) has noted that as per details provided by the states, more than 390 hospitals of the over 19,000 impaneled across nine states have been either served show-cause notices, suspended, or deempanelled, for alleged fraud.

171 hospitals have been deempanelled and FIRs have been lodged against six hospitals in Uttarakhand and Jharkhand. The quantum of penalties levied on the listed hospitals is more than Rs. 4.6 crore.

The cover provided under the PM-JAY health insurance scheme is Ra.5 lakh per family. Gujrat, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab were among the state where frauds were detected at different stages of implementation of the PM-JAY.

"Cyber Safe Initiative' launched by Maharashtra Government

The cyber safe initiative was launched by Maharastra Government. The initiative was launched commemorating the birth anniversary of the Indian Social reformer Savitribai Phule. Savitribai Phule was the first female teacher of India. The aim of the initiative is to spread awareness against atrocities committed against children and women. It will create awareness about laws on cybercrime. The campaign is to implement over the state by the state government in collaboration also with state police, police relations department and cyber cell.

Project NETRA: ISRO signs pact to set up optical Telescope

The Indian Space Research Organization signed a pact with the Indian Institute of Astrophysics to establish an optical telescope under "Project Netra". The organization also tried up with NIT-Karnataka to set up a regional academic center for space to promote research and development.

Under the Rs. 400-crore NETRA project, an early warning system is being set up in space to detect debris and other hazards that could pose a danger to Indian space assets like satellites and experimental platforms.
