UP govt launched toll-free 'CM helpline 1076' for complaint registration

 

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched 24x7 toll-free 'CM helpline number 1076' for people to lodge complaints.

Anyone from any part of the state can call on this number anytime.

It will facilitate a direct medium between the people and the Chief Minister's Office.

The 500-seater call centre has been established for the helpline and it has the capacity to handle 80,000 inbounds and 55,000 outbound calls on a daily basis.

Delhi Police signs pact with SECI for rooftop solar energy system

 

Delhi Police has signed a pact with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to set up rooftop solar energy systems in over 200 of its building across the city.

Under the agreement, the SECI will support the implementation of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic systems on the establishments of Delhi police.

It is estimated that Rooftop Solar System of the total capacity of about 3-4 MW will be implemented across various Delhi Police buildings.

India ranked 86th in the Henley Passport Index 2019

 

According to the Henley Passport Index 2019, India ranked at 86th position out of 199 countries in this index with a mobility score of 58 that means Indian passport holder can access 58 countries around the world without a prior visa.

Earlier in 2018 rankings, India was on 79th position.

Japan and Singapore have secured the top spot with a score of 189.

South Korea holds second place on the index along with Finland and Germany. It is followed by Denmark, Italy, and Luxembourg.

AYUSH, MeitY ministries collaborate for digitization of AYUSH sector

 

The Ministries of AYUSH and Electronics and Information Technology signed an MoU in New Delhi to collaborate on the digitization of AYUSH sector.

As per the MoU, MeitY has agreed to advise and give technical support to the Ayush Ministry for planning and development of AYUSH GRID Project.

The Ministry aims to digitize the entire AYUSH, leading to transformation in the field of health care delivery at all levels, along with greater research, education, delivery of various health care programmes and better drug regulations.

Cabinet approves India-Maldives MoU for passenger, cargo services

 

The Union Cabinet has given approval for the MoU between India and Maldives for the establishment of passenger and cargo services via sea route.

This MoU has signed with Maldives with a view towards harnessing the potential opportunity that lies in passenger and cargo transportation by sea between two countries.

The MoU was signed during the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Maldives.

UNESCO releases State of the Education Report for India 2019 in New Delhi.

 

UNESCO has released the first 2019 report of "State of the Education Report for India 2019: Children with Disabilities" at an event in New Delhi.

It will be an annual publication and the 2019 report is the first of its kind published by UNESCO New Delhi.

The Report highlights accomplishments and challenges with regards to the education of children with disabilities (CWDs).

The report is in sync with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) which aims to ensure "inclusive and equitable quality education".

Iraq's Babylon listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO

 

UNESCO's World Heritage Committee has listed Iraq's Babylon as World Heritage Site.

Babylon is a developed as a walled city of mudbrick temples and tower, constituting the Tower of Babel, and the Ishtar Gate.

It was the centre of the ancient Babylonian empire more than 4000 years ago.
