Manipur CM launches "School Fagadaba" scheme
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has launched scheme named "School Fagadaba" (Make education better) to improve the infrastructure of government schools in the state.
The aim of the scheme is to ensure better infrastructure, quality education and overall improvement of government schools to make them model school.
The regular attendence of teachers, biometric devices would be installed in every government school in the state. The teachers posted in these schools stay at the place of their posting for at least 3 years.

Odisha approves conservation plan of lakes "Chilika and Ansupa"
The Odisha Wetland Authority has approved implementation of an integrated management plan of lakes "Chilika and Ansupa".
The integrated management plan has been approved for Chilika and Ansupa at a estimated investment of Rs180 crore.
The 5-year management plan of lakes is intended at strengthening livelihood of thousands of fishermen relaying on the two water-bodies.
The Chilka lake is India's largest brackish water lagoon and Ansupa is the Odisha's largest freshwater lake.

The event took place in New Delhi.

Chinmay Prabhu creates 2nd world record for solving pyraminx puzzles
A 20-year-old Chinmay Prabhu from Mumbai has created a world record for the 2nd time under his name of solving 176 pyraminx (pyramid-shaped Rubik's cube) puzzles while riding a bicycle in 1 hours and 7 minutes.
He broke the record of solving 111 pyraminx puzzles.
On December 2018, He had set the Guiness Book of World Records of solving 9 rubik's cubes under water in 1 minutes and 40 seconds.
He also made an entry into the Limca Book of Records for solving mirror cube blindfolded.

The "100 Years of Chrysostum" is based on the life of Philipose Mar Chrysostum, scripted and directed by filmaker Blessy.
This documentary of length 48 hour and 8 minutes has broken the documentary length of Saudi Arabian documentary 'World of Snakes' of 21-hour length.
IITM develops Multimodal Robotic System called "GraspMan" with a human-like grasp
IIT Madras researchers have developed a new class of Robotic System for use in industrial and field applications, called "GraspMan", which has a human hand like grasping, manipulation and locomotion abilities.
The research has been published in Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics.
The new class of robot has various industrial applications such as pipe climbing and inspection, which involves climbing, holding and assembling, all of which are possible in their design.
CCMB scientist K Thangaraj awarded JC Bose Fellowship
K Thangaraj, Chief Scientist at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad was awarded JC Bose Fellowship.
He was given the fellowship for his outstanding scientific contributions in the field of population and medical genomics.
The JC Bose Fellowship is awarded to scientists in recognition for their outstanding performance by the Science and Engineering Research Board, Development of Science and Technology, Government of India.
Former Bihar CM Jagannath Mishra passes away
Former Bihar Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra passed away at the age of 82.
Dr. Mishra was 3-times Chief Minister of Bihar. He Chief Minister of the State in 1975, 1980 and in 1989-90.
He was the State's last Congress Chief Minister.
He was an economics professor at Bihar University and also authored several books.
