IBPS Prelim Syllabus is divided into three sections namely, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English. The syllabus of  IBPS PO and IBPS Clerk is the same. Only the difficulty level of Question is varies. IBPS PO exam is a little bit difficult than IBPS Clerk.

35 Questions with 35 marks will be asked from this section in IBPS Clerk Prelim Exam. The topics to be covered under this section are:

Puzzles and Seating Arrangement 

10-15 Questions from this topic will be asked. This is one of the most important topics in the IBPS Clerk Exam. this topic is time-consuming but in this section high accuracy is possible and this is the most scoring topic with a clear concept.  puzzles can be based on month, day, comparison, floor, Box, or Distribution. and Seating Arrangement can be based on linear, circular, square, rectangle or North-South facing.

Blood relation 

2-3 Questions from this topic can be asked. This can be based on coded blood relation, single person blood relation or mixed blood relation

Coding Decoding

5 Questions can be asked based on a new pattern or Old pattern. this topic is less time consuming and high accuracy is possible. this is more scoring topic. Questions from this topic may be based on simple word coding, sentence coding or new pattern based coding.

Syllogism

3-5 Questions can be asked based on a new pattern or Old pattern. this topic is less time consuming and high accuracy is possible. New pattern syllogism will be Possibility based and Negative information based, and Old pattern syllogism will be based on direct questions with 2-3 statements and 2-3 conclusions.

Inequality

5 Questions from this topic can be asked based on new pattern or old pattern. This topic is less time consuming and high accuracy is possible.this is also a scoring topic. This can be based on multiple relations, reverse, indirect symbol or coded, direct inequality based.

Input-output

5 Questions from this topic may be asked. This topic may be time-consuming but high accuracy is possible. 

Order and Ranking 

You can expect 1-2 Questions from this topic.

Direction and Distance

You can expect 3-4 Questions from this topic.

Alphanumeric Series

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent and must not hold any criminal record while applying for IBPS Clerk Exam. There are no aggregate marks required in graduation for filling a form. 2nd and, 3rd division student can also fill a form of IBPS Clerk. You should hold a valid Mark-sheet or Degree Certificate on the day you register and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

Language Proficiency: Candidates should have verbal and written proficiency in official language of the State/UT. The candidate should be able to read, write and speak the language.

Computer Literacy:

Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.

Age (As on 01.09.2018):

Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years

i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.09.1990 and not later than 01.09.1998 (both dates inclusive)

Nationality / Citizenship:

A candidate must be either -

(i) a Citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or

(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

IBPS Clerk Application Fee

The application fees for IBPS Clerk CWE 2018 exam is

- Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

- Rs. 600 /- for all others

IBPS Clerk Job Profile

The Job profile of a Clerk in PSB is related to single window operator. The clerk is the first point of contact for inquiries & guidance.  It is the starting designation in the hierarchy of bank jobs. 

  • A clerk deals with the front desk work and customer handling operations.
  • A clerk works at the single window operations like managing inquiry corners, withdrawal, managing receipts etc.
  • A clerk also deals with opening new accounts, cash collection, issuing bank statements and handling mails and delivery.

IBPS Clerk Salary & Allowances:

A Clerk in a Public Sector Bank can get a salary of Rs.18000 to Rs.21000 during the training period. After training period the perks and emoluments are added and it may vary from bank to bank. The Basic Salary Component of Bank Clerk may vary in the range of Rs 11,500 – Rs 13,000. (with a scope of promotion.)

Introduction:

The IBPS Clerk recruitment 2018 will be done in two different stages: Preliminary and Mains. IBPS Clerk Result:

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Board will be releasing IBPS Clerk Result 2018 separately for Prelims and Mains Exam. Candidates who clear the Prelims Round will be eligible to give IBPS Clerk Mains Exam. IBPS Clerk Result will be declared first for Prelims Exam and then for Mains Exam.

IBPS Clerk Admit :

Every candidate who registers for IBPS Clerk 2018 within stipulated time will be assigned an e-admit card/hall ticket/call letter that can be downloaded from the official website of IBPS. The admit card for the IBPS Clerk Prelims exam will be released first followed by the admit card of IBPS Clerk Mains exam (administered to only those candidates who qualify for Prelims exam).

IBPS Clerk Marks and Exam Pattern 2018

IBPS conducts exams for the post of Clerical Cadre in two different stages: Preliminary Exam and Mains Exam.
