A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. IBPS PO Job Profile:
After selection for the post of Probationary, a candidate will serve 2 years (may vary from one bank to another) of Probation Period after which you will be Assistant Manager in the assigned Public Sector Bank. And after the completion of the Probation Period, the banks usually conduct an internal examination. Few rules and structures may vary from bank to bank and after the exam, if a candidate fails to pass, his/her probation period is extended and upon successfully passing the exam he/she is assigned the post of Assistant Manager.
After selection for the post of a Probationary Officer, a candidate will be promoted to the post of Assistant Manager through an internal examination. These banks keep conducting internal examinations at regular intervals for the process of promotion. Apart from these internal examinations, one also gets promoted on the basis of her seniority. The growth chart of a probationary officer begins with the post of Assistant Manager and then he is promoted to the following posts:

►The Job Role or Work responsibilities of a Probationary Officer of a public sector bank will include to look after public relations, monitor and regulate branch activities and tasks, address customer related issues and grievances, approving and monitoring daily branch and customer transactions and handling loan processing.

Salary:
The Bank PO freshers salary can range from Rs23,700 - Rs 42,020. A Probationary Officer in a Public Sector Bank gets a basic pay of Rs. 23,000 to Rs. 27000. The result for IBPS PO is usually declared within 10-15 days after the exam. Last year, The Result for IBPS PO Prelims phase was declared on 1st Nov and for mains on 28th December.

The selection procedure will be divided into 3 parts, consisting of 2 online examinations and a third Interview round. The Preliminary examination is only qualifying in nature and will not be counted towards the final total. Only those who qualify through Mains will be eligible to attend Interview processes.
Note: There is negative marking in IBPS PO exam and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer attempted by a candidate. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

Note: No separate paper will be conducted for Computer Applications. Reasoning is teamed up with Computer Aptitude section and this entire section will contain 45 questions of a total of 60 marks. The overall time allotted for IBPS PO 2018 Mains Exam has also been changed from 140 minutes to 180 minutes.
IBPS PO Mains Descriptive Paper
The descriptive paper will be of 30 minutes duration with 25 marks assigned to the test of English Language. You will be tested on Letter Writing & Essay. You will be needed to secure passing marks to qualify the Descriptive Test, to be decided by the Bank.
IBPS PO Interview Process:
• Candidates who qualify the Mains Exam are finally called for the Interview Process by IBPS.
• The total marks allotted for Interview are 100.
• The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates)
• The weightage (ratio) of Online Main Exam and interview will be 80:20 respectively. .
• A candidate should qualify both in the Online Main Exam and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process, details of which will be made available subsequently on IBPS website.
