IBPS RRB PO Prelim Syllabus

IBPS RRB prelim syllabus is divided into two sections namely, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. The syllabus of RRB Officer Scale I, II, III, and Office Assistance is the same. Only the difficulty level of Question is varies. RRB Officer Scale I exam is a little bit difficult than RRB Office Assistance.

10-15 Questions from this topic can be asked. This is one of the most important topics in the IBPS RRB Exam. this topic is time-consuming but in this section high accuracy is possible and this is the most scoring topic with a clear concept.  puzzles can be based on month, day, comparison, floor, Box, or Distribution. and Seating Arrangement can be based on linear, circular, square, rectangle or North-South facing.

Blood relation 

2-3 Questions from this topic can be asked. This can be based on coded blood relation, single person blood relation or mixed blood relation

5 Questions can be asked based on a new pattern or Old pattern. this topic is less time consuming and high accuracy is possible. this is a scoring topic. Questions from this topic may be based on simple word coding, sentence coding or new pattern based coding.

New pattern syllogism will be Possibility based and Negative information based, and Old pattern syllogism will be based on direct questions with 2-3 statements and 2-3 conclusions.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent. There are no aggregate marks required in graduation to fill the form, Ist,2nd and, 3rd division student can fill a form of IBPS RRB PO. You should hold a valid Mark-sheet or Degree Certificate on the day you register and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

Language Proficiency: Candidates should have verbal and written proficiency in official language of the State/UT. The candidate should be able to read, write and speak the language.

Computer Literacy:  Working knowledge of Computer.

Age Eligibility

Between 18 years and 28 years i.e., candidates should have not been born earlier than 03.06.1989 and later than 31.05.2001 (both dates inclusive)

The maximum age limit specified above is applicable to General Category candidates only. For other categories the following relaxations would apply:

IBPS RRB PO Application Fee

 Candidates can pay the application fee through the net banking, debit card, credit card, etc.

- Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates.

- Rs. 600/- for all others

IBPS RRB PO Exam Pattern

The IBPS RRB PO selection takes place in 3 stages - Prelims, Mains, Interview. The Preliminary exam is just a qualifying exam and the marks that you score in the Prelims are not counted towards final merit list preparation.

Note:-

  • All the tests in both the exams will be available bilingually (in English & Hindi) except for English Language.
  • There will be negative marking for wrong answers. One fourth (or 0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty for wrong answers. There is no penalty for unanswered questions.
  • The scores will be normalized to equate the difficulty level of the papers in different slots.
  • You will be required to score a minimum overall cut off in both Prelims and Mains exams.
  • Besides this, you will have to score minimum cut off scores in each of the sections in both examinations.
  • However, only the score of the Main examination and Interview will be considered for Final Merit Listing.
  • The final score will be scaled to a maximum of 100.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I Job Profile

The Job and Work Profile for Officer Scale-I is just like the same as that of a Probationary Officer. After selection for this post, a candidate will serve 2 years (may vary from one bank to another) of Probation Period after which you will be Assistant Manager in the assigned Regional Rural Bank. And after the completion of the Probation Period, the banks usually conduct an internal examination. Few rules and structures may vary from bank to bank and after the exam, if a candidate fails to pass, his/her probation period is extended and upon successfully passing the exam he/she is assigned the post of Assistant Manager.

  • Probationary Officers and Managers in banks and RRB are into customer dealing and maintenance and supervising regular branch activities. 
  • The Job Role or Work responsibilities of an Officer (Scale-I) of a regional rural bank will include to look after public relations, monitor and regulate branch activities and tasks, address customer related issues and grievances, approving and monitoring daily branch and customer transactions and handling loan processing. 
  • An assistant manager is expected to multitask and verify the work done by clerks whenever required. Also, to be always aware of the policies and decisions made by the management and to implement those in the functioning of his branch.

You may have a chance to get promoted to Manager after completion of the 2 years’ Probation Period and banks conduct exams on a regular interval for the promotion of employees. IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I Salary

After getting recruited as IBPS RRB Officer Scale I, you will get a decent salary and a good chance to get a hike in it. An Officer Scale-I in Regional Rural Bank can get a basic salary of Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 25000. Various allowances are also added onto as the salary components after which the salary may range from Rs. 33,000 to Rs. 37,000. The salary can also vary according to the place of posting and from one bank to another.

 IBPS RRB Officer Scale I

IBPS CWE-RRB exams are conducted for the recruitment of Regional Rural Banks. IBPS CWE-RRB PO exam is conducted for the recruitment of both Officers (Scale I, II and III). IBPS RRB Recruitment to fill the post of Officer Scale I takes place every year. Once you qualify for the exam, you are hired as an Officer Scale I in one of the participating banks as per your preference, merit and the official IBPS Officer Scale 1 Cut Off.

This year, 56 Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) are participating in the IBPS RRB 2019 Exam.
