SBI Clerk Prelim Syllabus

SBI Prelim Syllabus is divided into three sections namely, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English. The syllabus of SBI PO and SBI Clerk is the same. Only the difficulty level of Question is varies. SBI PO exam is a little bit difficult than SBI Clerk.

35 Questions with 35 marks will be asked from this section in SBI Clerk Prelim Exam. The topics to be covered under this section are:

Puzzles and Seating Arrangement 

10-15 Questions from this topic will be asked. This is one of the most important topics in the SBI Clerk Exam. this topic is time-consuming but in this section high accuracy is possible and this is the most scoring topic with a clear concept.  puzzles can be based on month, day, comparison, floor, Box, or Distribution. and Seating Arrangement can be based on linear, circular, square, rectangle or North-South facing.

Blood relation 

2-3 Questions from this topic can be asked. This can be based on coded blood relation, single person blood relation or mixed blood relation

Coding Decoding

5 Questions can be asked based on a new pattern or Old pattern. this topic is less time consuming and high accuracy is possible. this is more scoring topic. Questions from this topic may be based on simple word coding, sentence coding or new pattern based coding.

Syllogism

3-5 Questions can be asked based on a new pattern or Old pattern. this topic is less time consuming and high accuracy is possible. New pattern syllogism will be Possibility based and Negative information based, and Old pattern syllogism will be based on direct questions with 2-3 statements and 2-3 conclusions.

Inequality

5 Questions from this topic can be asked based on new pattern or old pattern. This topic is less time consuming and high accuracy is possible.this is also a scoring topic. This can be based on multiple relations, reverse, indirect symbol or coded, direct inequality based.

Input-output

5 Questions from this topic may be asked. This topic may be time-consuming but high accuracy is possible.

SBI Clerk Exam 2018: Job Profile:

A bank clerk is the first point of contact for any customer to address his inquiries and to provide guidance. As an SBI Clerk, you will have the following responsibilities:-

  1. Customer Interaction: Handling doubts and queries
  2. Verification and signing of documents, countersigning and clearing cheques and drafts

How to Apply?

  1. You can Register yourself by going to the SBI Official Website and click on the new registration.

  2. Enter basic details and upload scanned photo & signature as per the size requirements mentioned in the official SBI Clerk notification.

  3. Also, enter your additional details like educational qualifications and work experience.

  4. Use a valid email ID that should be kept active till the declaration of results

  5. must be paid Online only while completing IBPS online application, By using Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking/Cash Cards/Wallets, etc.

  6. By following these above steps, you will submit your IBPS PO Form successfully.

  7. Submit the Application Form.

  8. Take out the print out of the Application Form for future reference.

SBI Clerk Marks and Exam Pattern 2018

SBI Clerk exam 2018 will be conducted in 3 phase namely, preliminary exam, Mains exam, and Test of Official and/or Local Language.

 Note: SBI has introduced a sectional time limit for each subject in the exam and sectional cut off removed from both prelim and mains exam this year. The candidates are required to qualify both the stages to be listed in the merit list prepared after conduction of both the exams. No interview process is required for selection to the post of Clerk through SBI Clerk Examination.

Prelim - Phase I

SBI Clerk prelim exam is comprised of  3 sections with a total of 100 marks and total time of 60 minutes.

Mains - Phase II

SBI Clerk Mains exam is comprised of 4 sections with a total of 200 marks and total time of 2 hrs 40 min minutes.

Test of Official and/or Local Language - Phase III 

If you have studied the official (local) language or local level at 10th level and have proof as a certificate, you will not be subject to an additional Language Test. If not so, you will be required to take a language test which will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining.

Final Selection

The candidates are required to qualify both the stages to be listed in the merit list prepared after conduction of both the exams. No interview process is required for selection to the post of Clerk through SBI Clerk Examination.
