The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released recruitment notification for the post of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operators for various Ministries/ Department/ Offices of the Government of India. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination every year. Candidates who aspire to start their career right after completing the higher secondary education can apply for SSC CHSL 2019.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed 12th standard or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
Age Limit
Minimum age - 18 years
Maximum age - 27 years
Note: Candidates born not before 02-08-1992 and not later than 01-08-2000.

Selection Process
The SSC CHSL exam will be conducted in three stages-

The SSC CHSL exam will be conducted in three stages- Tier-I (Computer Based Test), Tier-II (Written Test) and Tier-III (Skill-Based Test). While the first one is online the latter two exams will be offline.

Tier-II (Written Test)
Tier-II Paper will be descriptive of 100 Marks in Pen and Paper Mode.
The duration will be for 1 hour.
The Paper would comprise writing of Essay of 200-250 words and a Letter/ Application of approximately 150-200 words.
The minimum qualifying marks will be 33%.
The Paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English.
Tier-III (Skill-Based Test)
Typing Test: The medium of Typing test will be Hindi and English. For Hindi, typing speed of 30 words per minutes is required, For English, typing speed of 35 words per minutes is mandatory. Typing Test will be applicable for Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant, LDC, and Court Clerk posts.
Skill Test: Data Entry Speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour on the computer. Skill test is conducted for Data Entry Operator post.
