amplifying (Verb) - increase, amplify, magnify, raise, elongate, prolong. (बढ़ाना)

EX - A electronic device used to detect sound and amplify it. (आवाज को पहचानने तथा विस्तारित करने वाला एक इलेक्ट्रॉनिक उपकरण )

sober (Adjective) - Spartan, sober, abstinent, abstemious, temperate, chary. (संयमी)

Ex - Dixit regards her as a' sober, thoughtful and practical person not given to flights of articulation. (दीक्षित मानते हैं कि वे ' धाराप्रवाह वक्ता होने के बजाए सौय, विचारशील और व्यावहारिक महिल हैं। )

crippled (Adjective) - crippled, cripple, maimed, handcapped, disabled. (अपंग)

Ex - At Chikmagalur in Karnataka, people who had eaten crabs were crippled due to pesticides. (कर्नाटक के चिकमगलूर जिले में केकड़े खाने से लोग पीड़कनाशियों की उपस्थिति के कारण अपाहिज हो गये। )

prevention (Verb) - detention, control, condom,prevention, perclusion, repression. (निरोध)

EX - A lot of steps have been taken for the prevention. (निरोध के लिए कई महत्त्वपूर्ण कदम उठाए गए हैं। )

aggravated (Verb) - foment, provoke, instigate, blow up, inflame, aggravate. (भड़काना)

Ex - Many people report that certain foods either aggravate or improve their skin condition. (कई लोगों ने यह कहा है कि कुछ खाद्य पदार्थों से उनकी त्वचा में निखार आया है या त्वचा बेरंग हो गई है। )
