Average of X, Y, Z is 24, X : Y = 2 : 3, X + Y = 60, then find X - Z = ?

Solution:

Chapter Name: Average

X : Y

2x : 3x

X + Y = 60 (given)

2x + 3x = 60

5x = 60

x = 12

X = 2 $\times$ 12 = 24

Y = 3 $\times$ 12 = 36

X + Y + Z = 72 (given)

24 + 36 + Z = 72

Z = 72 - 60

Z = 12
